Dr. Wang is a lecturer at the International Research Center on Karst under the auspices of UNESCO, and serves as the coordinator of “Geodiversity Sustains Biodiversity” on the yearly IGU Geodiversity Seminar. His research is focused on the carbon cycling, biodiversity, and evolution of submerged plants under the pressure of global climate change and human activities, especially in karst aquatic ecosystems and eutrophic water bodies.
